Holiday Greetings,
It’s hard to believe, but it is that time again - it is field trip time at Evergreen Acres Christmas Tree Farm! My name is Juliana Barnett, and my husband, David and I are the new owners of Evergreen Acres. We want to extend a special invitation to you and your students to come experience a Christmas tradition first hand at our working farm. This fun-filled, informative field trip is specifically customized for students from preschool through the fifth grade and designed to educate the students in the growth of Christmas trees.
The field trip will include:
♦ Welcome
♦ Tractor-drawn hay ride
♦ Narrated walking tour through the Christmas trees with guide
♦ Holiday cookie
♦ Story time
♦ Coloring book for each student and a special “living” gift for each class!
♦ Cost $3.00 per person, excluding teachers
The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. Tours are scheduled hourly, and must be reserved in advance. Picnic tables may be reserved and are available on a limited basis if you wish to include lunch at the farm before or after your tour. Parents, siblings, and other guests are welcome to attend at the $3.00 per person fee. Maximum group size is 40-45 students, with a minimum of $50.00 per group. If your group is not large enough to meet the minimum charge, we will be happy to combine your group with another group with your approval.
Due to the “shortness” of the season, and the hectic schedules that most of us have, now is the time to reserve your field trip. Tours will be offered Tuesday through Friday from November 11th through November 20th and from December 2nd through December 19th.
Teachers and parents, I know how limited your time is during the holiday season, so I want to introduce you to our new Evergreen Acres Emporium. The new gift shop will be open for your convenience to do some shopping for your Christmas needs. There will also be appropriate gifts and souvenirs for the students to purchase as well if they so desire. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards in the gift shop. An informational brochure about EAE is included with this letter.
Also, if you are planning to purchase a tree during the field trip, please let us know when you make your reservation to allow time for us to prepare.

FARM LOCATION: 948 Hamilton Drive is 1 mile west of the northern intersection of FM 1858 and FM 933 in the community of Gholson. There will be directional signs in Gholson to the farm.
